Alan Foster
Dr. Foster is part of a Blue Springs tradition of dental comfort and care. He is a 1978 graduate of the Creighton University School of Dentistry and has dedicated his career to providing you with the best that dentistry has to offer. He is continually educating himself and his staff on the latest techniques and approaches to provide you and your family with advanced, antiseptic, comfortable and personalized dental care.
In his continuing education, Dr. Foster has completed courses in cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign®, dental implants, laser treatments, crown and bridge treatment, root canal therapy and anesthesia.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, Greater Kansas City Dental Society, and the University Study Club.
Dr. Foster’s top priorities are patient satisfaction and comfort. He looks forward to your visit and to showing you the positive effects that quality dental care can have on your life.
Rebecca Spencer
Dr. Spencer has a warm personality, a passion for dentistry and is excited to be a part of the Foster Dental Care team. An excellent student, she graduated in the top of her dental class from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Dr. Spencer received her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia where she was a student athlete on the Tiger’s swim team. Dr. Spencer grew up in St. Louis and currently lives in Kansas City with her husband. She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association and the Tallgrass Study Club.
Michelle: Registered Dental Hygienist
Michelle graduated in 1999 from the University of South Dakota with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been a part of the Foster Dental Care team since September of 1999 and is a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association, the Missouri Dental Hygienist Association, and the Greater Kansas City Dental Hygiene Association. Annually, Michelle volunteers her time for the Blue Springs School District dental screenings. Michelle grew up in northwest Iowa and enjoys making trips there to visit her family with her children and husband, whom she was set up with on a blind date by Dr. Foster! In addition to family road trips, Michelle likes cross-stitching, reading and camping.
Dolly: Registered Dental Hygienist
Dolly is a graduate of Wichita State University, College of Health Related Professions, with a Bachelor of Health Science in Dental Hygiene. She began her hygiene career in Wichita, Kansas, working full time for 18 years with Dr. Mac Foley until her near fatal car accident in 2001. Refusing fusion surgery for her C-2 “Hangman's” neck fracture, Dolly spent 3 years rehabilitating. Her husbands' job transfer may have brought her to the Blue Springs area; however, the love of the patients was the deciding factor in her professional “part-time” return. She began with Dr. Foster in March 2004 and her neck friendly schedule is Monday and Wednesday.
Jessica: Registered Dental Hygienist
Jessica received her Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in 2003 and is a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association, and the Greater Kansas City Dental Hygienist Association. Jessica joined the Foster Dental Care team in 2010. As helping patients reach their oral hygiene goals is one of many things she enjoys about being a hygienist, she volunteers her time each year to the Independence School District for their annual screenings. Jessica and her husband like to spend time outdoors whether it be playing golf, gardening or playing with Daisy, their pug.
Desiree: Dental Assistant
Desiree has been working as a dental assistant since 2003 and joined the Foster Dental Care team in 2006. Staying current with the latest techniques, she has attended the Nichols Career Center for expanded functions certifications. Adventurous, she enjoys every outdoor activity from fishing to hiking. During Desiree’s free time she enjoys spending time reading, painting and quality moments with her husband and two daughters.
Maria: Dental Assistant
Maria has been a dental assistant since 2005. She joined the Foster Dental Care team in 2010 as an expanded functions dental assistant after attending Ozark Technical. Her favorite part about being an assistant is meeting new people and helping patients with their oral hygiene. Maria loves to spend time at the lake, swimming and fishing. She enjoys time with family and friends and likes to cook and watching movies.
Staci: Patient Coordinator
Staci has lived in the Kansas City area her entire life. She began her dental assisting career in 1990 and joined our team in 1997 as a dental assistant. In 2009, Staci became the Patient Coordinator where she goes out of her way to make our patients feel comfortable and at ease. Her kind words and caring smile make patients feel at home in our office. Staci spends most of her time with her family, cooking, working on her house and playing with her new puppy. She enjoys traveling and watching reality TV.
Robin: Financial Coordinator
Robin started in the dentistry field in 1992 and joined Dr. Foster and his staff in 2001 as the Hygiene Coordinator. She then expanded her duties by assisting Dr. Foster and the hygiene department. She is currently working at the front office as the Financial Coordinator. She likes to read, watch movies and find the ultimate recipe for any occasion. An animal lover, Robin has rescued several pets with the help of her husband. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her family and friends.
Ashley: Scheduling Coordinator
When you call or visit our office, Ashley will be the first person to greet you. She enjoys ensuring patients are comfortable and happy with their experience at our office and has been a part of the Foster Dental Care team since 2009. She has two children that are active in sports and spends most of her evenings and weekends with her husband going to practices and games cheering for their MVPs. Along with spending time with family, Ashley also enjoys traveling and cooking.
Kara: Hygiene Coordinator
Kara has loved dentistry since she was a child. She even used to collect her teeth! Kara joined our team in 2009 as the Hygiene Coordinator. Currently, she is pursuing her education to qualify for hygiene school in order to achieve her dream of becoming a hygienist. Kara enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as coaching a youth softball team.
Rebeca: Business & Marketing Coordinator
Rebeca is excited to be a part of the Foster Dental Care team as one of her favorite things to do is get her teeth cleaned. Having worked in the management and marketing industry since 2003, Rebeca brings a wealth of experience to the practice. You'll find her daily assisting with the operations of the office. This University of Missouri graduate loves movies, is a fan of all Kansas City sports and BBQ. When she’s not sitting in the chair having her pearly whites polished, she is spending time with her fiancé, family and friends.
